There are numerous ways to enjoy your holiday in our region, even if you don't want to take part in winter sports activities or the weather is not so sunny.
Sihlsee Badi
Relaxation and good food with a fantastic view over the largest reservoir in Switzerland, including a mountain panorama.
There are numerous opportunities for fun and games, a sunbathing lawn and bathing fun, a small kiosk and a restaurant with a large terrace.
The Sihlseebadi is located at the other end of the lake in Egg, at Staumauerstrasse 12.
Opposite the Grüner Aff restaurant and campsite in Willerzell, on the small island off the coast, there is a small idyllic bathing area with a small café called Paradies.
Schönbächler Sport rents out various water sports equipment there and offers various courses.
What could be better than enjoying the summer in the mountains or by the water? Bright sunshine paired with cooling shade. In front of the village of Euthal, where the Sihl flows into the lake, you will find a wonderful bathing area with sunbathing lawn and barbecue area. Use of the bathing area and the car park in front of it is free of charge.
Rivers and streams for bathing
Rivers and streams offer a refreshing way to cool off on hot days in Ybrig. There are numerous idyllic spots along these bodies of water, perfect for playing, building stone towers or for a relaxed picnic right by the water. Some of these places are on the Eibi's adventure trail at the Minster, at the fire pit by the Fallenbach, in the direction of Underbäch and many more.
Surfing, SUP, kiting, foiling
Immerse yourself in the breathtaking nature around Lake Sihl and experience it in a sporty way. Discover the variety of possibilities offered by this idyllic place, be it surfing, stand-up paddling, kitesurfing or foiling on the glistening waters of Lake Sihl. Brown trout, rainbow trout and char are to be found in a water specially created for fly fishing. A valid fishing licence is required to fish here. Thanks to its excellent location, easy accessibility and high catch rate, Lake Sity is the perfect starting point for budding fly fishermen.

Fly fishing Seeblisee
In the middle of the hiking area, rainbow trout, brown trout, char and, since summer 2020, brook trout have been swimming in the idyllic Seeblisee lake.
Fishing in the Seeblisee is only permitted with "flies". Tickets are available from the kiosk at the top station of the cable car. A ticket costs CHF 30 plus deposit, for this price three fish may be caught, after which a new ticket must be purchased.
Fishing on Lake Sihl is a pure nature experience and has a long tradition. There are still over 20 species of fish and crayfish in the lake. Proof of expertise (SaNa) is required to acquire all licences. From 2024, licences can only be purchased online via the Einsiedeln Fishing Association.
The enchanting Sihlseeli lies on the cantonal border with the canton of Glarus just before the Saas Pass, which leads into the Klöntal valley. The starting point for this marvellous place is the Ybrig golf course in Studen SZ. From there, walk along the valley and the River Sihl before climbing steeply uphill to Sihlseeli. A fishing trip can be perfectly combined with a hike in the Sihlseeli area.
