Railway tour
The first mountain bike mountain railway tour in Central Switzerland presents breathtaking panoramas accompanied by smooth single trails and numerous places to stop for refreshments. This route promises a visual feast for the senses: majestic peaks such as the Mythen, the Druesberg, the Roggenstock and other Alpine peaks, as well as unobstructed views towards Zurich and Central Switzerland.
From a scenic perspective, the Hummel Tour undoubtedly deserves the title "remarkably scenic".
The first three challenging kilometers of ascent on asphalt are followed by an almost flat section of around five kilometers up to Unterer Hummel. Once you have mastered these climbs, you will be rewarded with a unique view of various lakes.
This bike tour is perfect for cautiously approaching more challenging single trails. You will mainly be on easy trails, but the section from Sternenegg to Ibergeregg is a challenge for less experienced bikers.
The view from Sternenegg of Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountains is simply breathtaking and rewards you for the effort of the climb.
On the 26-kilometre route via Wisstannen, you can first expect an extended but quite pleasant climb up to Wisstannen. During the ascent, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the neighbouring mountains and the Studen golf course. After a short flat section that gives you a view of Lake Sihl, the rapid descent through the forest towards Euthal soon follows.
A bike park for the whole family awaits you in Ybrig. Not only children, but also adults can learn the basics of mountain biking here. Three different levels of difficulty allow mountain bike beginners to practise their skills. The Kabi Bike Park is open daily and is located in Oberiberg, right next to the Roggenstock Lodge.
